Program Goals
South Houston Early College students will:

Earn a high school diploma and participate in all aspects of the comprehensive high school to the extent possible.

Have the opportunity to complete an associate's degree at no cost through our SJC partnership.

Enjoy multiple levels of support from a dedicated staff that will support them academically, emotionally, and socially.

Apply for and gain acceptance to a 4-year college or university to earn a bachelor's degree and beyond after graduation.

Exceeding the standards established for our outcome based measures according to the ECHS Blueprint.

Planning and implementing data-driven academic interventions so that ALL students are TSIA ready in ALL areas (ELAR, Essay, and Math) before the beginning of their junior year.

- Associate of Arts in General Studies
- Associate of Arts in Business
- Associate of Arts in Behavioral Science

- Associate of Science in Life Science
- Associate of Science in Mathematics
Four-Year Plan
- Freshman Year – 3 college classes with one course being EDU 1300 (1 hour virtual course)
- Sophomore Year – 2 college classes
- Junior Year – 4 to 8 college classes
- Senior Year – 4 to 8 college classes
Note: Students should plan to attend summer classes.
