No School During Thanksgiving Break

Students and staff take the week off from Nov. 23-27 during Thanksgiving Break. The campus will be closed. 

SoHo Celebrates College Week and Senior Bike Ride

South Houston High School is getting pumped up from Nov. 16-20 with a series of spirited events designed to get students thinking hard about college and careers.  The week's events involve dress-up themes such as College Colors or Nerd Day, an Army National Guard exhibition day, and college presentations on FAFSA Friday. As part of the week's festivities, it will be Pajama Day on Friday as seniors hold their annual Senior Bike Ride.

If you are a current 8th grade student who is interested in attending the SHHS Early College High School, we are now taking applications for incoming 9th grade students for the 2021-22 school year.   Online application is open from November 2nd, 2020 to January 8th, 2021.  go to to apply.  If you have questions, contact Rhonda Bell

School Continues Online and on Campus

Take a look at our South Houston High School COVID Reopening Plan.

The first class period starts at 7:15 a.m.

All virtual students log into Classlink, click on the Schoology tile, open their courses and go to their First Period Google Meet or Zoom. 

Face-to-face students should proceed to their classrooms as usual, and remember to follow COVID safety procedures.

Graduates, This Is How To Get Your Transcripts

Do not go to the school to get your transcript. Instead, to obtain your transcript:

1. Go to
2. Scroll down to Transcript Information to find the link to the Transcript Request form
3. Print and complete the form
4. Email the completed form to

If you need an unofficial transcript sent to you, you must include a photo ID. Official Transcripts must be mailed to the organization asking for the official transcript.  No photo ID is required for official transcripts. PISD is waiving the $1 transcript fee at this time.
